Concrete Remedial & Auxilliary Services

Another facet of General Beton Co. services being offered is concrete remedial works. Whether this is a result of poor workmanship, or use of incorrect materials or application, we can resolve the problem. By attending site and examining the problem and then discussing the intended use of the reinforced concrete element we can offer solutions to rectify the non- conformance. We understand that budget constraints are important so we will endeavour to find a method and a product that will suit.

Concrete structures are used in many different environments. They are proven structures which with stand the harsh Australian Environment. Overtime, some structures may exhibit part deterioration. Our experienced trained staff will restore these structures back to their former status. We call on the expertise of our suppliers offering the appropriate material for the application with the use of polymers, epoxies and modified cementitious compounds. The rectification process has become more efficient and less of a burden on head contractors.

Whether you have an old or new concrete floor, todays floor coverings are requiring more stringent tolerances. We are able to top your floors to the required level whether its only 1 mm or 100mm. Preparation of the substrate is also a service which we can offer prior to floor levelling or topping. Floor levelling is generally required to take out the dips and bumps in floor surfaces so new floor covering will not show these imperfections. Australian standards state different types of floor surface level classes, this will depend on your intended use. Floor toppings are used when the required RL (Reduced Level) is to be raised. Two methods are used, either bonded or non-bonded. This is usually to be specified by your design engineer or your floor covering installer or supplier.
